Dear friends and future members of our community
We believe that the path to healing begins with understanding ourselves and the world around us. This is what we strive to do at UPRA — to create a space where science, experience, innovation, and compassion come together for change that affects everyone.
Since our founding, we have received over 3,000 inquiries from those who share our goal: psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors, researchers, and activists. For many of them, psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) has become a symbol of hope and an effective method of helping those suffering from PTSD, depression, and other mental disorders. In collaboration with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Health and the Ministry of Health, we are already working on launching the first clinical trials of MDMA and other psychedelics in Ukraine.
However, the study of psychedelics is more than just therapy. It is an interdisciplinary field that encompasses neuroscience, ethnobotany, chemistry, philosophy, anthropology, and social sciences. We advocate for a comprehensive study of psychedelics, as their phenomenon is of great importance to science, culture, and society.
An important stage lies ahead — creating a system for training, supporting, and developing specialists, as well as building infrastructure for the safe use of PAT. Psychedelic-assisted therapy can be a lifeline for millions of people who have survived the traumatic experience of war, lost themselves in the chaos of modern life, and seek to restore harmony to their lives. At a time when mental health has become a matter of national security, we strive to provide assistance to those who need it.
We invite you to become part of a community that pushes the boundaries of science, supports those in need, and builds a new future for mental health in Ukraine. Together, we will make psychedelic-assisted therapy accessible, safe, and effective.
You can join our community through associate or full membership.

Associate membership allows you to join the organization's activities quickly and on more flexible terms. Associate members can participate in the organization's events, programs, and projects, as well as join permanent or temporary committees. They can express their suggestions and ideas for the development of the organization and receive support to protect their interests related to its activities. However, associate members do not have the right to vote at general meetings and cannot be elected to governing bodies. They are exempt from paying membership fees, but they can support the organization with voluntary contributions. Associate members must support the organization's policies and reputation and not take actions that contradict its goals.
Associate membership provides an opportunity to support the organization with minimal obligations and more flexible terms of participation. To become an associate member of UPRA, you need to:

Full membership in the organization provides a full range of rights and opportunities for active participation in its activities. Full members have the right to elect and be elected to governing bodies, which allows them to influence the organization's strategic decisions. They can participate in all events, initiatives, working groups, and commissions created by the organization, as well as submit their own proposals for consideration. An important right is access to grants and funds for the implementation of projects within the framework of the NGO and the possibility to appeal against management decisions. In addition, full members may represent the organization on official business and use its property within the scope of its statutory activities. In return, they are obliged to comply with the provisions of the charter, maintain the reputation of the organization, pay annual membership fees on time, and actively participate in its activities to ensure the achievement of its goals.
Full membership offers full rights and access to all aspects of the organization's activities, but requires active participation and regular payment of dues. To become a full member of UPRA, you need:
