Dear friends and future members of our community
We believe that the path to healing begins with understanding oneself and the world around us. This is what we strive to do at UPRA — to create a space where science, experience, innovation, and compassion come together to drive changes that touch everyone.
Since our founding, we have received over 3,000 inquiries from those who share our mission: psychologists, psychotherapists, physicians, researchers, and advocates. For many of them, psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAT) has become a symbol of hope and an effective method of helping those suffering from PTSD, depression, and other mental health conditions. In collaboration with the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Public Health and the Ministry of Health, we are already working on launching the first clinical trials of MDMA and other psychedelics in Ukraine.
Yet psychedelic research is more than therapy. It is an interdisciplinary field encompassing neuroscience, ethnobotany, chemistry, philosophy, anthropology, and the social sciences. We advocate for the comprehensive study of psychedelics, as their phenomenon holds immense significance for science, culture, and society.
An important phase lies ahead — building systems for the education, support, and professional development of specialists, as well as constructing the infrastructure for the safe use of PAT. Psychedelic-assisted therapy has the potential to be a lifesaving tool for millions of people who have endured the trauma of war, lost themselves in the chaos of modern life, and seek to restore harmony. At a time when mental health has become a matter of national security, we are committed to providing help to those who need it.
We invite you to become part of a community that expands the boundaries of science, supports those in need, and builds a new future for mental health in Ukraine. You can join through associate membership.

Associate membership offers the fastest and most flexible way to get involved in the organization’s activities. Associate members may participate in the organization’s events, programs, and projects, as well as join the work of standing or ad hoc committees. They may share proposals and ideas for the organization’s development and receive support in advancing their interests related to its activities.
Associate members do not have voting rights at general meetings and may not be elected to governing bodies. No membership fees are required, though voluntary contributions to support the organization are welcome.
